It was only a matter of time, a little late by some standards, but there's now a videogame based on the volcanic eruption in Iceland and the subsequent grounding of flights thereabouts.

Online casual game maker Games2Win Inc. has seen fit to release Volcano Flight Control for its online portal, www.gangofgamers.com, and as a Facebook App at apps.facebook.com/volcanoflight.

Not so much a "game" as "something to do with your mouse," the title was reportedly inspired by the recent volcanic eruption in Iceland and the challenges the incident created for airlines and passengers.

"We like to surprise folks with topical games based on current situations," insisted Alok Kejriwal, founder and CEO of Games2Win. "Given that the volcanic situation is coming back to normal, we think that a game around the event will be accepted well and will allow people be a part of a historic event that will be remembered for a long time."

The base premise of the 2-dimesnional flash game has players piloting a plane through the sky and avoiding puffs of ash. Check it out if you can spare five seconds.
