During a press event to kick off the annual E3 Media & Business Summit 2008, Sony revealed a batch of new content for the PlayStation brand, including 20-odd first-party software titles previously announced and 10 never-before-seen titles, the most glorious of which was God of War 3 for PlayStation3 (PS3).

Sony also unveiled new downloadable titles MAG as well as Ratchet & Clank® Future: Quest for Booty for PlayStation Network (PSN), and Resistance: Retribution for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) system.

The briefing also included an extensive look into Resistance 2, the sequel to the acclaimed PS3 launch title, Resistance: Fall of Man.

Other PS3 titles showcased during E3 2008 include Sony Computer Entertainment’s next generation open world adventure inFamous from Sly Cooper creators Sucker Punch Productions; LittleBigPlanet which allows players to create, play and share entire game levels via PlayStation Network; some wild tropical racing action in Motorstorm: Pacific Rift from Evolution Studios; Killzone 2 from Guerilla Games; and SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation from Sony, which promises an online shooter experience with up to 32 players.
