100 people did some syncopated stomping and set a Guinness World Record for the "Largest Simultaneous Dance Mat Routine" at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, CA on May 19, 2008.

The record-breaking event, hosted by the folks from "So You Think You Can Dance," used dance pads from Konami's Dance Dance Revolution Universe 2 videogame for the Xbox 360 along with a large-screen television to establish the new record.

The group danced to "Funky House" by DJ Diod and "Progressive Mix" by DJ Hill for a total of 9 minutes and 28 seconds. The feat earned record-breaking participants the opportunity to be featured in the next Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition.

The all-new Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition 2008, the first Guinness World Records book devoted solely to the world of gaming, available at Amazon.com ($20) and Amazon.ca ($30) ($30?!), is stuffed with records new and old, high score statistics and a bunch of truly fascinating game-related facts.
